Paste a link from TikTok, Instagram or YouTube. Repimame writes out the ingredients and the steps, then goes back through the video and pins a frame next to every step the video shows, so you know what each one should look like. Then put your phone down and cook.

Short cooking videos are easy to watch and hard to cook from. You scrub back four times to catch how much flour went in, and by then the pan is smoking.
Repimame reads the caption and writes the recipe down: ingredients with amounts, steps in order. Missing amounts stay blank. You see the gap before you shop, not at the stove.

For TikTok and Instagram, Repimame takes stills from the video and works out which step each one belongs to. "Fold until just combined" means something once you can see what "just combined" looks like.
A step the video skips stays blank. A picture of the wrong thing is worse than no picture.

Hands-free cooking
Your hands are covered in oil and the recipe has scrolled away. Turn on Cooking Mode and the front camera watches for one gesture: hold your hand up, pinch your thumb and index finger together, and move up or down. The recipe scrolls. Nothing else on the screen moves.
The camera feed never leaves your phone. Frames are read on the device and thrown away - nothing is recorded, stored or uploaded. Times written into the steps, like "simmer for 10 minutes", become timers you can start with a tap.

Plan the week, shop once
Drop recipes onto days. The ingredients add themselves up into one shopping list, so you buy 400g of onions once instead of 100g four times. Change the servings and the amounts recalculate.
What Repimame does not do
Worth knowing before you download.
- No calorie or nutrition counting. Several recipe apps have it. We do not, and there is no date for it.
- iPhone and iPad only. No Android, no web version.
- Step stills are TikTok and Instagram only. YouTube and websites give you the text, not the pictures.
- A video with no recipe in it stays empty. If the caption does not list ingredients, we will not guess them.
What it costs
Free to start, and the free plan stays useful: unlimited saved recipes, 10 link imports a month, 3 photo-to-recipe scans and 10 searches.
Frames from video are on Standard, not on the free plan. Standard also removes the import and search limits and raises photo scans to 50 a month. It is $1.99 a month in the US. A yearly plan works out about a third cheaper than paying monthly, and comes with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers.

Questions
Do I need an account?
No. You can save recipes as a guest and they live on your phone. Make an account later and everything you saved comes with you.
What happens to my recipes if I stop paying?
You keep every recipe you saved. Saved recipes are unlimited on the free plan and always have been. What you lose is the monthly allowance for new imports.
Does Cooking Mode record me?
No. The camera frames are processed on the phone and discarded. Nothing is written to disk and nothing is uploaded. The app has no other use for the camera.
Who makes this?
One person, in Japan. Repimame has been on the Japanese App Store since 2025. The English version opened in August 2026 in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Ireland.
