Repimame saves the recipes you find, plans your week and writes your shopping list. This page answers the questions we are asked most often.
Need a person?
Open the app and go to Settings → Support → Contact Us. Messages come straight to the developer and you can reply in the same thread. You do not need an account to write in.
Saving a recipe
How do I import a recipe?
Tap Add → Import from a link, paste the address and tap Save recipe. The import keeps running in the background, so you can carry on using the app while you wait.
You can also share a page to Repimame from Safari or another app using the iOS share sheet.
Which sites does it work with?
Most recipe websites, plus TikTok, Instagram and Threads. YouTube video descriptions are read as well.
Repimame is not affiliated with any of these services. It reads the page or post that you paste, in the same way a browser would.
The import failed. What now?
- "Couldn't reach the site" - check your connection and tap Try again.
- "Couldn't read the recipe" - the page did not contain something we could read as a recipe. Some sites block automated readers. You can still add the recipe by hand from Add → Enter it yourself.
An import that comes back with no ingredients and no steps is not counted against your monthly allowance.
Where do the step photos come from?
If the source page has a photo for a step, Repimame keeps it. For Instagram and TikTok videos it can also pull frames out of the video and match them to the steps. That feature is part of the Standard plan.
Cooking
How does hands-free scrolling work?
Open a recipe and turn on Cooking Mode. Hold your hand up in front of the screen, pinch your thumb and index finger together, and move your hand up or down to scroll. It works with wet or messy hands.
The gesture is read on your device by the front camera. No video is recorded, stored or sent anywhere. You can adjust how sensitive the pinch detection is, or practise first, in Cooking Mode's settings.
Do the timers come from the recipe?
Yes. Times written in a step - "simmer for 15 minutes" - are offered as timers you can start with one tap. The alarm sounds even when the phone is on silent.
Plans and payment
What is free?
Saving recipes is unlimited and there are no advertisements. Features that use AI have a monthly allowance:

Your usage is shown under Settings → Plan & usage. Allowances reset at the start of each month.
How much is Standard, and how do I cancel?
Standard is USD 1.99 per month in the United States; the price shown in your own App Store applies elsewhere. It renews automatically unless it is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the period.
To cancel, open the iPhone Settings app → your name → Subscriptions and turn off renewal. Repimame cannot cancel it for you - Apple handles the billing.
I paid but the app still says Free.
Go to Settings → Plan & usage and tap Restore purchases. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple Account that bought the subscription.
Your account and your data
Do I need an account?
No. You can use Repimame as a guest, and everything is kept on your device. If you sign in later, what you saved as a guest is carried over.
Guest data lives only on that device. If you change or lose the phone, it is gone - sign in if you want your recipes on more than one device.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings → Delete Account. This erases your data and cannot be undone.
Deleting your account does not cancel a Standard subscription. Cancel that separately in the Settings app, or you will keep being charged.
